A Screenplay

 EXT. STRIP MALL - NIGHT

Rain drops patter on the glass pains of a phone booth as a MAN pushes the dials inside. A neon sign of a blinking eye that says “PSYCHIC” flashes behind him.

Square jawed and drenched in a large tan trench coat, his gaze is continuously drawn over and over to the flashing sign. He hangs up the phone and bolts towards the establishment.

INT. PSYCHIC SHOP - NIGHT

A short old WOMAN hobbles to and unlocks the front door as the man outside sheepishly walks in.

MAN

I’m...uh

(takes off his hat)

Not...

Before he can continue, the woman turns around and starts briskly walking to the back of the establishment. The man quickly follows passing an array of psychedelic nick knacks, chachkies, and black light posters that adorn every inch of the walls. 

The pair pass through a bright orange beaded curtain and right in front of him, the woman, now staring up at the man, stops dead in her tracks.

WOMAN

Choose.

MAN

I...?

INT. BLACK VOID - NIGHT

The woman has disappeared and the man is now alone inside an endless black void. There are three doors in front of him. One green, one red, one yellow.

The man, shocked, looks around for the woman before pausing. 

He looks down, takes a breath, and walks towards the red door directly in front of him, and begins to turn the handle. 

THE END.
